Key Responsibilities
The Summer Program Staff position plays a crucial role in supporting the development and delivery of summer programs and events contributing to a vibrant community experience for guests and participants. The role reports to the Summer Program Manager. Summer Program team members respond to guest inquiries, assist in program delivery and support day-to-day operations within established guidelines. Team members must be available to participate in online planning meetings before the start of the summer season.
Full Time: June 27 - August 29 | 35-40 hours per week onsite
Part Time: April 21 - June 26 | 5 hours per week remote
Primary Duties
Collaboratively develop and execute Youth and Children’s Programs under the guidance of the Summer Program Manager.
Participate actively in the Community Life Team, assisting with the planning and implementation of community events and activities.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource about the Naramata Centre’s programs, providing information to guests and participants.
Engage in proactive and reactive social media efforts to promote and maximize community engagement and program visibility.
Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and well-maintained program facilities.
Physically prepare the Centre for its summer season and assist in setup and teardown of weekly events.
Provide technical support in audio/visual setup for music leaders and events.
Ensure that summer programs and services meet and/or exceed organizational requirements for service delivery and health and safety,

Basic knowledge of social media platforms and their use in promoting events.

Education or Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in program coordination, child and youth program delivery, customer service, or event management is an asset.
Experience with social media management and audio/visual equipment is desirable.
Other Requirements
Vulnerable Sector check is required.
Valid Food Safe certification and First Aid training are assets.
