Winter Retreats
Immerse yourself in tranquility and peace. Time to quiet the spirit and calm the soul.
Winter Retreats take place between October 22, 2024 and April 21, 2025.
Silent Retreat
October 25 - November 2
This is a time to rest, discern, pray, prepare; an opportunity to be alone in community, to be in nature and to deepen your spiritual journey – all in an atmosphere of prayer-filled silence. This is an intentional silence that helps us encounter that still, quiet, healing place within, where there can be openness to the movement of Spirit.
Join Murray Groom, Nan Goodship and Natalie (Nan) Maxson for a peaceful week of self-reflection.
Group Retreats
Whether it’s a silent retreat, a multi-day workshop or a year-long spiritual program - group retreats are led by experienced practitioners and thought leaders and invite you to rest, contemplate and connect.

Heartwood Bursary
The Heartwood Bursary was established in 1988 under the principle that no one should be prevented from having access to the Centre’s programs solely on the basis of lack of financial resources. The Bursary was established to support low-income persons and in particular young adults, families with young children, persons with disabilities and/or their caregivers.
Please note, Bursary applications cannot be applied toward accommodation costs. You only need to submit one application per family.
While we are committed to keeping the Centre affordable for program participants, there is a limited number of Bursaries available.
